Dutch Chief of Awesomeness As Dutch enters his fifth year as a BSR horse, he has this to say: “Being a part of the Butte Special Riders is truly an honor. I love it so much that sometimes it’s hard to sleep on Sunday nights in the summer because I’m just too excited for Monday morning. How many people (or horses) can say that they look forward to Monday mornings? Not many. I’m a very lucky horse.” Ladybug Director of Good Times Ladybug makes all of her BSR riders feel lucky! The chattiest of the bunch, Ladybug is a black and white paint who loves to roam the pasture, search for grass, and hang out with her friends in her free time. Ladybug was donated to the BSR program by a wonderful lady named Kandace and she is thrilled to be part of the BSR horse squad. Minnie Head of Sales Reserved for the tiniest BSR riders, this sweet old gal is as gentle as they come. Twenty-eight years young, she has been a part of the BSR program for a LONG time. Last summer, we had a young BSR rider that was very shy. But thanks to “Minnie’s Magic,” he was hugging Minnie and riding by the end of the first day! There is just something so calming about this girl. Romeo Chief Swoon Officer Romeo is a very special BSR horse. In addition to being calm, cool, and collected, he’s also downright handsome. Living up to his name, Romeo makes everyone fall head over heels in love with him…and he is a wonderful partner to the many BSR students. Many thanks to Jamie Lynch for letting Romeo continue to be part of the BSR program. Jade Assistant to the Regional Manager Meet Jade! Jade is the newest addition to the BSR bunch and, like her name, is a total GEM. She came from Billings in June and is settling nicely into her new home at KHC. Even though she is new to the squad, she is already acting like a total pro at BSR. She is calm, cool, and collected and loves her new job as a BSR horse. Stewie Sr. Manager, Horse Operations Stewie is new(ish) to BSR, but he’s been a regular at the Kissock Horse Center for over a decade. His fun-loving, mellow nature and stunning good looks makes him a solid choice as a BSR horse. Stewie loves snacks, neck scratches, socializing with his pals (human and equine), hamming it up for the camera, and beach vacations.
